From June 21–25, 2026, PhD students from our research group – Anna Pifczyk and Aman Preet Singh participated in the XXIX International Symposium on Bioelectrochemistry and Bioenergetics of the Bioelectrochemical Society (BES 2026) held in Bari, Italy.
During the conference, they presented their research through poster presentations, oral communications, and flash oral talks. Their contributions focused on drug delivery systems and the formation of the protein corona, as well as on protein amyloids associated with neurodegenerative diseases. The presented studies addressed structural aspects of these systems and their interactions with lipid membranes, providing insights into mechanisms that govern biological activity, membrane recognition, and pathological processes.
Participation in BES 2026 provided an excellent opportunity to share research findings with the international scientific community, engage in fruitful discussions with experts in the field, and establish new collaborations for future interdisciplinary research.
